Hi,...HTS was a great place for me in 65-66 as a 16 year old because before I went there my life was rubbish.
I learned a trade on the farm running a battery hen house,
joined the army cadets and travelled to Woolich barracks and sporting events around the country,(actually won a silver medal)and climbed mount snowden in the winter.
I remember mr dally the deputy head, and mr buzzard, and my pal alan thorpe.
Left in '66, went home, got a job in a cattle market till '67,
left home to go to sea in a fishing port in '67. met my wife the first week I was there and we're still together as man and wife with 4 children, 12 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
If it wasn't for HTS ?? god knows!..they gave me a chance
of a life , and I took it,...hope the rest of the lads did.
