Hi,thanks for reply dennis,
I have looked up some old letters and records from HTS
and would you believe I still have a reference from the headmaster L T Harding .I was there from 30th june '65 to july '66, in it he mentions me running a large battery chicken house..it wasn't new when I was put in charge, but there was a second one built before I left.I remember the first delivery of pullets for the new house, all the ckicks were dead. they suffocated because the driver hadn't turned on the refrigeration, (poor chap)he cried his eyes out.
I found 3 of my pals names ,:- Les Moreton, from leicester,
Trevor Peters from melton mowbrey, and Alan Thorpe from Watford.
I'm sure Pendril (head dairyman) and mr webber ring a bell,
if I remember right mr webber was a skinny guy?
all the best .
