Subject: Would like to hear from

I was at the Cotswold School in St Georges house in the early sixties. I played the wag from school, pinched a Bike from the Bike Shed and got Three years for it. I was Fourteen at the time and like most had the usual problems settling down. I did a bunk a couple of times but Pop Parry's cane and being stuck in the Jug sawing logs soon convinced me that running was a bad idea. There where a few good times and some bloody awful times too,[mostly the latter] but I managed to keep out of the way for most of the time working on the Farm and got out of there as quick as I could. Some of the names I remember are, my mate Dave[Dickie]Bird, where are you now? Freeman, Moore, Lomas, Barnes, Blackmoore all from Birmingham, Bailey from Portsmouth. Shearer & Hope both from Jersey and decca Bennett from Newcastle.
Some of the more decent Staff members I remember are, Mr Sibbick, Mr Bluette, Mr Mogg. Joe Allen [Housemaster], Mr Smallwood, Guv Palmer, Guv Borlace.
Given the choice, spendig time at the Cotswold School is not an experience I'd like to repeat
