Not much on here from old Cotswold lads. I left in the spring of 1963 after doing a full 3 years because I was a persistant absconder. I used to hitch hike up to the north of Scotland then have to wait till fat pervert Jock Anderson (St David's housemaster) came to collect me. I spent plenty of time in the Jug. Do you remember Number 1 cell. That wooden bench was hard after being wacked! I worked on the farm and enjoyed the dairy and early call for milking, but then they built a new kitchen and I went to work in there. Staff member I got on best with was Fred Green who ran the painting and decorating shop. A diamond of a man. Most of the staff were just idiots who knew nothing about childcare. I didn't realise that at the time but looking back as I get older I can see it.
