Jadyn's blue eyes often moved from her plate to Lucian, and a subtle sinking feeling inside told her that he had that other woman on his mind. She took her time eating, watching him from the corner of her eye as he took his plate away, and she followed suit a moment later...Setting her plate in the sink and pausing...Something was wrong...What was he thinking about? She had an idea, but what thoughts specifically? Once again, the once comfortable silence between them grew steadily uncomfortable...Jadyn reached for his hand, gazing up at him quietly...
"Lucian..."
She murmured gently, a vulnerability in her voice...
"Talk to me..."
About it. Whatever it may be, she wanted to know, needed to...Already she was attentive to his emotions more than she usually was to anyone.
