Gus,

I agree with Mick. Another thing you could do is become a life member which, I believe, is $150 and then you are done with it. That is only 6 years worth and you are ahead of the game. Bear in mind that the Association officers put in a LOT of time and effort to keep things going and put out a newsletter. 25 bucks seems like a bargain to me.
