>...the truth is it was the right call
No, it absolutely was not. It was an incredibly stupid call, and sad to say I didn't see it coming, because prior to that I thought Jim had good sense.
In the past, I explained the situation that Kenny outlined (doe week) to a number of hunters. NOT ONE of them agreed with this call that you say is "right." How can your organization represent hunters when it does things that no other hunters believe in?
Even worse, Jim would never admit that what he did was not the right thing to do. I think he even believed that it was right. Now, with a Prez like that, I just don't see UHF truly representing hunters.

What exactly did UHF do in this group of "many, many" people? And what did all these people accomplish anyhow? You haven't told us what the good or bad was about dog hunting. All I see here is that UHF played a minor part of something involving dog hunters.
>Giving hunts away was a group effort
Oh, bullshit. You know better than that, Mark.
Only one man gave away hunts that otherwise would have brought him money, and that was Kenny. There was no "group effort." Yes you did show up to help with the skinning and you pitched in while your Prez rested in the shade and stuffed groceries in his face. But the giveaway was 100% Kenny's idea, and 100% Kenny's expense. I was there to help also, but I don't try to take credit away from Kenny.
>I know you
>don't want the UHF to succeed, it will be in your best

It's true that I myself do not want to see the current leadership take UHF anywhere but straight down, the faster the better. Because the longer this goes on, the more hunters are fleeced out of $20 a pop (or has it gone up?) and the more they get jaded at knowing they get nothing for their money, just as with the old FHC. And I think it has nowhere to go but down as it is now.
>If we
>fail, what will be gained, where will the next group
>of hunters come from to take the reins?
The good that can come of its downfall would be more attention and money focused on groups that actually do good for things hunters, and which allow members to have input into the leadership.
The next group of hunters will be the same as those of us who started UHF - some hunters who see a need and decide to try to fill it. I hope the next group of hunters will include fewer self-centered people, and more honest ones. Only time will tell on that.
Sorry Mark, I'm not going after you personally here, but I still haven't seen you point to anything positive and say, "UHF did that for hunters," even though you have been asked to do that several times.
If after more than 2 1/2 years the leaders of an organization still haven't done anything concrete but instead have strutted around feeling important and crying the blues because hunters aren't joining them as fast as they'd like, then I'd say something isn't right with that organization.
That's my opinion anyhow.
