Mark you are still missing the big picture here.....
Jim had no right as the UHF Pres. to make a statement at the FWC meeting about doe week... This was an organization and things should be discussed between the "members" and the "board" then brought to the table at the FWC meetings not just pull something like that out of the air and roll with it...How the hell do you expect an organization to operate when one man speaks for all of them.

it was a shocker to me and russ a board member and the VP that we had no idea Jim was going to try to cut out doe week or we would have had a meeting about this it was like it was slid in there under the table. and thats the knife in the back I was talking about. You guys should be like Kentucky Fried Chicken do one thing and one thing only stick to WMA's because thats the focus of your organization.

Yea yea yea you tried to help the dog hunters. But you guys also tried to take doe week from private land hunters so I guess that evens it out...

These folks with private clubs that are helping you do they know you tried to take thier doe week away? and when I say you I meen the UHF not you as one person.

>Do you really think that Jim alone was the reason that
>Doe issue you keep bringing up wasn't implimented or
>maybe if you looked hard enough the bioligists of the
>FWC also felt the same, this is the reason it wasn't
>implimented, but your not going to hear any of that
>I'm sure you want to feel Jim back stabbed you and
>nothing will change that, but the truth is it was the
>right call, just like many times the FWC has thrown
>many rule changes out on the table on a whim, that Doe
>issue was just one of many since that time and that's
>why phisically being at these meeting is necasary!
>
>What do you think the Dog hunting issue was Public
>land hunting? I had written several congressman on
>that issue and there was atleast four of them who
>showed up personally to speak on Dog hunters behalf,
>That wasn't one Organization doing this but many, many
>who pulled their members together and wrote, e-mailed
>and showed up in force! When the Private land hunters
>need help we'll be there until then public land needs
>all of us to make sure that Land is open to hunting!
>
>Giving hunts away was a group effort, It's not a pay
>you for your membership but a thank you for helping
>hunters by supporting the UHF... I don't have the
>answer you want as far as What I have done Personally,
>I may never have it, but it's my hope that with the
>help of the hunters in florida, the UHF will be seen
>as a major player in all of this, though I know you
>don't want the UHF to succeed, it will be in your best
>interest as a hunter of florida that we do! If we
>fail, what will be gained, where will the next group
>of hunters come from to take the reins? we take all
>kids that can go, if we have enough permits, jims kids
>go as do mine, because we put in permits for them, we
>try to put in for others also but many are not
>fortunate to be picked, as happened this year, it's
>not like your trying to imply either, we are doing
>this to help Kids understand what hunting is like and
>intails, infact The UHF was picked by the FWC to
>speerhead their Youth hunting program! Many private
>hunting leases have signed up with us, this will be a
>good start for young kids to actually get hands on
>practice and a little schooling on everything!
