In reply to: Thank you 's message, "What are the steps to posting a photo on a voyboard?" on 04/07/16 Thu

I received a smattering of e-mails in the last day requesting to post photos, but needing to know how to do it. So here is a mass info session for everyone!

Hope this helps -

First things first - the photo MUST appear on the web somewhere (a website, photobucket, etc...) but can NOT be hotlinked from Blog pages or sites like Tripod (for some reason, it just doesn't work)

You need to have the html code for the photo, hover the pointer over the photo click your right mouse key, find the properties listed at the bottom of the menu, click that.

This will give you the HTML code copy the entire code (be sure not to leave off the .jpg or it won't copy)

To post it on a board - start a new thread (some boards, including this one will allow pics in replies and some won't)

In the BODY of the thread use the following code (I will fully type this out or it will post a photo and you won't see the code):

the symbol <
directly followed by IMG SRC
directly follwed by ="
directly followed by your copied HTML
directly followed by ">

If the photo isn't posted on a website or imaging site, it won't be able to be posted. If you are posting a photo along with a thread, you can post it directly into the subject line and it will appear - that way you can keep one thread together.

Okay I hope that this helps, if you need more assistance, please just ask!
