With summer coming to an end quickly, I started thinking about this season's hockey pool. I think a good idea to try (and if it doesn't work, we can always scrap it and go back to the old way) is to try to hold some sort of live draft. I figure though that having people stay on here for a few hours is a little much to ask, so I figured we'd pick a night that most people have off (considering most people work weekdays, a weeknight would work) and we'd hold it at someones house. Granted that everyone that can't make it is willing to standby on the phone, the draft itself should only take a few hours rather than a week or more. The benefits to the live draft would be:

1) Faster draft, with all 7 rounds finishing in a few hours
2) Live up to date picks, so I don't have to go over all of them via the phone.
3) People would probably get into the actual draft more, and I wouldn't have to hunt you down on the phone for hours, having the draft held up.

This is just an idea I'm tossing around right now. The draft itself would have to be in September this year, as the Ducks/Kings open the season a week before other teams when they play two games in England on the 29th/30th (or somewhere around there).
