It definitely sounded like he was the man behind the camera. Which, with his time-jumping already established, would make sense. He must have ended up jumping to Dharma's era at some point and managed to convince "Marvin Candle" of what was coming.

Since Marvin Candle wasn't really familiar with the internet, I'm guessing that the cameraman gave him the info. I also think it sounds like Faraday, who somehow was in the past. This video takes place before Candle's damaged arm.
