He did look hot when in England indeed. Great hair. And Penny and Desmond are still adorable together and now have a little Telemachus! It's both sweet and funny they named him Charlie because it works as a tribute to rock singer Charlie but he's also Charles 'grandson.

Not sure about the Latin thing. All the flashbacks we got before, about the life of the Others, never showed them speaking latin, so Juliet's explanation isn't convincing. Perhaps it was just to set the line about "enligten language" since it's a Desmond David Hume episode.

I agree that seeing young Charles Widmore on the island was a cool twist though.

I loved the fact that Locke is the one who actually sent Richard to visit him! The compass stuff is well done too.
