Now I'm having flashes of Mathew in a room like 40 Year Old Virgin, screaming obscenities at the asian woman. Maybe he's slicked down because of his role in Speed Racer?

Finally saw the ep yesterday. Didn't love it - to be honest, I'm getting impatient with the whole "I see dead people" thing and I don;'t want anything bad to happen to Claire. Plus Jack and Kate aren't always the most sympathetic characters, but this ep just made me see them both as jerks. Just MHO. Poor Hurley, though.

I would think growing it out would be really itchy and icky.

I'm not in possession of a full-on chest rug that some guys can seem to maintain, but as I do have a penis I feel somewhat qualified to answer this ;)

Chest hair (or beard hair, if that's what you're talking about) doesn't really get "itchy" or "icky" (are those the medical terms, sparkle? ;D), it just... kinda grows. I don't know how it works for you girls and your legs/armpits, but there's nothing really offputting about shaving/growing for men.

I had a friend once who shaved his back and when it was growing out it was a tad icky. It would kind of puff out the back of his t shirt. So do you know anyone that waxes? That would probably help that issue. As far as girls, I think it's more like men with facial hair, it's a daily routine, so it's softer, etc. I was just curious.

Sadly, most of my male friends haven't fallen into that trend of the metrosexual age (although a couple of them really could stand to!)

Have you seen all the chatter on other Lost boards about the chest-hair issue being an intentional clue left by the writers vis-a-vis the timeline? It's ridiculous, the Lost fandom have collectively jumped the shark! I don't see it as being anything other than Jack had other priorites than manscaping on the island, but once he was back on dry land he had the time - and amenities - to clean himself up good & proper. I realise Lost is a show where even the smallest thing can end up being a huge focal point, but come on. Chest hair?!
