I'm not a fan of the Michael character, and while the whole "the island won't let you die yet" twist is interesting, I'd be more excited to have Libby or Eko back. That said, Harold Perrineau did some good work this episode.

I think there are two camps of thought as to who killed Karl and maybe-Danielle (I refuse to believe she's dead until we've had her flashback episode!!), Ben or the Freighters. It'd be just like Ben to have them taken out by The Others so that Alex can be kept safe (and has anyone else seen the theories about her being preggers? Apparently in the group scene with Locke and everyone else she and Karl patted her belly), but I kinda think it would be more intriguing storyline-wise if The Freighters got their hands on Alex. What would Ben do to get her back from their clutches?

I think it's Ben. The way he looked at Karl's hand on the small of her back...the scene in which he talked to Michael and mentioned the things you do for your kids. there are too many echoes, it must be Ben.

Besides it also echoes the previous episodes, and his "you're mine" about Juliet and how he had Goodwin killed. Rousseau and Karl was his rivals.

What Ben wants, Ben gets.
