to anyone who visited justice for mick kenny group and/or signed the petition ...

Mick was transferred to a new landing a week ago but it now appears clear that any 'advantages' he has are that he gets frequently pulled in order to give samples of urine (when they know that he never ever took drugs) also teh fact that there is a washing machine on teh landing but things are still teh same, he is still totally deprived of his pow rights, we only get on average 3 minutes phone call a day when it should be 6 minutes, he still doesn't get teh right to contact his solicitor because of teh one phone call a day rule so that, was he to call his solicitor, then he couldn't phone me. our phone calls and letters are all we have part from a few visits every so often because i'm finishing university in another country so that Mick will not give up our daily call and i'm left with phoning his solicitor on his behalf, she keeps assuring me that teh jail cannot deny Mick access to his legal team, has even faxed the prison governor to this effect but they still do it. Mick is still locked up 22 hours a day, still not allowed his radio, stereo or anything and finding it most difficult to keep up with his diploma in social science as the jail doesn't allow him to use the computer room as often as he needs and when he does ... he sometimes has to wait for someone else (playing games on the computer) to leave it for Mick to finally get the 'right' to write his essays. only three weeks ago, he overheard screws talking about him and calloing him a big c***. and finally his lates attempt to get moved to teh training unit has been rejected again, finally his appeal is still not forecoming, still no date even though the judge Mick petitioned for immediate release on teh grounds that he had been denied any justice since being first taken to Portlaoise, practically killed then then released on bail, made to sign up daily for 3 years before being jailed for 5 (no one else has got 5 years for that!!! they all only got 2 years) so that Mick and i are both urging you to keep up the fight, keep up petitioning info@justice.ie address emails to john o'donoghue the so called minister for justice and let the world know what how the irish republic treat its people at a time when they crave for acceptance as a modern republic, desperate to turn away from their past as they find their history a bit embarrassing. so please, keep up the fight going!!! post on message boards here and there, anyone really and email the petition. anyone who doesn't know of Mick, who would like to find out more, i'm his fiancée Roísin, we were to get married this year but the jail won't allow us to do that so that we're waiting until he gets moved elsewhere or (hopefully) gets out!!! you can contact me at justiceformickkenny@yahoogroups.com.
