A few suggestions:

1. The Indian blood may come into the lineage through a female line, so be sure to follow those.
2. Other researchers may have established more information about Doolittle, so check out Doolittle (Dolittle + other spellings) in the family histories at the Salt Lake City http://www.familysearch.org Family History Library. Look in the "Family History Library Catalog" and do a Surname and/or Keyword search. It will show you genealogies that have already been written about your family. If the items found are on microfilm, you can order them into your local Family History Center (see the one nearest you on the main page at the site above).
3. Check out and sign onto Message Boards and Mailing Lists for your surname and NY Indians at http://www.rootsweb.com Post your queries according to the instructions I offer at http://www.amerindgen.com/Message.html
4. Check the CD for NY tribes offered by Genealogical Publishing Company online.

If you would like professional help with your search, please contact me, personally. I have access to all of the above and am very interested in your search problem.
