Hello Cathy.
I can relate. The ones who have just hit 14 are like a bunch of Paris Hiltons. Some smoke as much, too. All I can say about their smoking is that they can cut it off until they get an indication a guy might like it. Then, whether they like smoking or not, they put in a great act.
I fear Jess and her group are going to be sitting around the pool a lot more often than getting in and messing up their hair.
The cell is a big deal. They let these kids have them at school. Every so often a mom may need to tell them something important but 99 percent of the kids are between kids and, hopefully, mean nothing.
My younger daughter worries me too because she thinks she is as old as Jessica and tries to act it. At 12, Jessica was much more a child.
I was never perfect but I decided I was grown up my senior year. I really got into drinking. I would take the smoking right now if Jess would pledge never to have a drink.
I could have had a wreck and should have had a police record. My friend was a little behind me in drinking but way ahead in smoking.
Until my senior year, I was regarded as a sweet, popular pretty girl. Some began to realize that I was coasting on all the sugar and spice I had built up in my earlier years.
I swear the pain of delivery of Jessica was one of the most sobering things I ever endured.
I could go on and on. You did! hehe. Jess and Lisa are a lot like me. They push the button. Times are different. Alcohol was my weakness and I overcame it. They don't really have a weakness. I hate that they sort of tease these guys but I see good in the fact that they remain friends with the girls and are fondly regarded the parents of boys and girls.
I hate that my girls barge into situations and then try to charm their way out of it. Trouble is, they are too much like me.
