How is your smoking Friday. The have been so many interesting posts. My son's team lost the opening game of the playoff series. The catcher pitched and did a good job. They have this great pitcher. Our bats were silent. We won't see this great pitcher again. We have Marc, who has been very effective, on the mound tonight when we play at our home field.
The turnout was good for the game. My sons had their usual female escorts. Lacy, who goes with my youngest, honestly seems to need cigarettes. She made the trip to the game and then found her older sisters to smoke.
Lacy's family moved in behind us about a month ago. The older 2 girls are in high school and will join the family after next week. They are sophomores and freshmen in college.
While Lacy seemed to smoke 3 cigarettes, all out of our view, Ashley, who was with my second son, did not smoke.
She is the daughter of Amy, whom I work with.
At work, the day started with Shannon and Amy sitting outside smoking even before I clocked in. Each had their own pack. Amy, mother of Ashley, said they really appreciated the time she and her husband would really enjoy the time alone together.
With 3 boys, I can relate.
Shannon said she bought a pack of Capri 120, my brand, after work and went to a bar where she did get some guys to buy her drinks but none invited her home. She actually wants this to happen. She celebrated her 29th birthday Tuesday at work and said she was going to shed a little of her innocent look to "get laid."
I would not call it an innocent appearance. It's more Saintly and a cigarette in her hand is quite a contrast. Seeing her trying to inhale lets all know she is not that far from being totally saintly.
Linda took her 3 daughters to the game and I swear none of them smoked, not even Amber who goes with my oldest. When my oldest got back, he was allowed to cruise briefly with Amber and did not come back smelling like he had been in a car with a smoker.
All 3 of the girls have been seen smoking. The youngest is 12, Lacy's age. They took Tom, Lacy's slightly older brother, along. On arrival, he and Lacy joined other 11 to 14 year-olds to smoke.
Amber's big brother, who started the season as lead pitcher but developed serious control trouble, went hitless last night. My son was on base twice.
This guy goes with Sheridan, a senior who played softball, but Leah, who is a graduating senior, still follows him around. Lola brought along her sister, Lola, as well as Lee Ann, the girl my middle son liked for a while, and Lee Ann's cousins Wanda, who is in the 7h grade, and Sheila, who is only in the 5th grade and not yet 11.
If any of you parents have girls around 11, you know that is the age they usually develop the adult appendage that most guys like.
Sheila apparently made the others laugh but, unfortunately, she will come along. Ellen, on the softball team, rode with Grover, her bf. They took Sheridan along. Both are seniors and not too bashful about smoking.
Grover's brother Hank had the family sedan. He was there to meet Laine, oldest sister of Lacy, took Grover's brother George, who goes for next sister Cassie. Also about were the boys younger sisters. Once out of the family car, they joined the others in Lacy's group in smoking.
That's more than anyone needs. Please tell us about your smoking Friday.
