No guys for me. No cigarettes. I wonder if a person ever settles. My boys are doing good with the business my husband left behind. I'm considering an offer to be an instructor here. Being 62, they must be looking for a short-timer.
It's more than applying for an opening. I loved my freshman year here but went back to my old hometown and made a life. There was a disappointment at 18 but I have so many positives for the way things turned out.
My oldest shared my love for this area and for education. She graduated from college here and settled near here. It was married and then finished college. In fact she had 2 before she got her diploma. Her oldest daughter has finished college here and is on her graduation trip. Her next daughter leaves the dorm and joins her cousin in the dorm this fall to join a cousin from the dusty trails and keep this apartment rental in the family. They will be juniors this year.
My youngest will be here Saturday. She's single, 33, and a non-smoker. The recent college graduate does smoke. I quit after my freshman year in college, never telling the home folks about my faults. I smoked while doing graduate work the past 2 summers. This summer I'm undecided.
Good luck to the teams. By the time my oldest got to high school, they had volleyball, basketball and track the way it is now but no softball. Softball was picking up in high schools when my youngest was there.
The oldest and both boys were very athletic. The youngest was not. These 20-year-old girls were in sports.
