"My little town is full of news about smokers."

That wouldn't happen to be Marble Falls would it? And what happened to Amber, who goes with my son?

Great to have you back Bob. Tell us more about Vegas. My little town is full of news about smokers. I don't know if the mother joining the new move-ins behind us will curb the smoking.
Apparently Tom Junior and Lacy, kids of of Tom and Debbie, learned to smoke a few weeks ago when the family was making a move. Debbie has a baby almost 2 weeks old and stayed behind with 2 older girls. Tom took over a teaching job and took the youngest 6, all of who were in school.
The smokers are in the 8th and 6th grade. I have boys that age. My middle son in the 8th grade is not associating with them that much but my youngest is in the 6th grade and is over there every day after school.
He says he does not smoke with them but at least 3 other girls in the age group do.
Marilyn, who has taken up smoking again after years of being quit, has found a smoking buddy and they are bringing along another old friend.
Rhonda is daughter of the owner and was given a job by her parents when they retired, actually handing over operation of the company to a granddaughter. Rhonda is the younger daughter of the owners and has been spoiled all her life.
Her ex, Jack, occasional appears in local social circles. Rhonda is just into company community relations with our company and usually only keeps company with the rich and famous. There aren't that many in town.
Back at the salt mine, Amy, who waited until she was 23 to have her first child, is joining Marilyn, and sometimes Rhonda, in smoking. Amy is 37.
Smokers can take off with the habit and then drop off after a couple of months, I've noticed. Right now, Brooke, nearing 40, is smoking with her daughter, Sheridan, who is about to graduate from high school.
Brooke and Elaine tried smoking for the first time when their husbands were out of town over the Easter weekend. Elaine decided it was not her. Brooke did not like cigarettes but her husband did so she is pushing the envelope. Brooke has no other children but one of Elaine's is hanging out with Lacy. Kelli is a sixth grader like Lacy. Marilyn's 2 are Heidi and Tammy.
The girls playing softball are warming up for the playoffs in one location tonight while my son's baseball team will be in a district game tonight in another location.
