I just got things settled enough to type things up before heading for the girls games. The boys played a doubleheader last night and won both. The second game was close but Walt pitched the final 3 innings without allowing a run.
The first game was a slugfest. Boyd had a home run and 2 doubles. We had to live off his grand slam in the 5th to win 4-3 in the second game. Walt got the win. His mother and family were thrilled.
As you may have read in another reply yesterday, I'm pretty much a smoker again.
Jess and Michelle enjoyed being on the college campus yestarday where you can't smoke withing 25 feet of an entrance to a building. Michelle, now going with Boyd, took that as permission to smoke if you observe that distance rule.
I'm pretty sure Jessica had some cigarettes with her. Why not? Her mother is smoking like she had always smoked. We had a nice ride home. She had 2 or my Reds and I had 3. I told her we would go to the games today and I would go out with dad tonight and then try to quit smoking again.
She looked like "oh sure."
One good thing is that the girls game had to be moved from the opponents ballpark to this same college. The start is an hour later.
Jess is very happy. She can get with Michelle and the others, and prance around the college. My husband said Lisa was reasonable with her going outside. She's visiting with a girl I don't know much about today.
We will let the girls watch the boys tonight when we go out. That's better than taking Lisa to my sister's.
At today's game(s), I will step into the very liberal smoking area with my friends. Jess is right about the college atmosphere.
So, it's off to the game(s). More later. I hope not that much later.
