Jeremy and I have not ruled out a return to asphalt racing. Just have other priorities to take care of so that we can afford to race again. The biggest issue that I see is teching the cars BEFORE and after the races. Teching before keeps the "illegalities" out and teching after ensures that all the cars are abiding by the rules. My suggestion is to tech the top three, with the understanding that the track can pull the engine at anytime to check for rules compliance. Having a tech-man that is not associate with the actual running of the program will help too. One other thing that I see is a problem is the limited classes that run. I know that the track expanded to enduro, but by limiting the classes, you also limit the number of competitors. I think the main idea is to increase the car count, which increases the fan base, which will increase the purse...and it goes on and on. Rules restrictions by class keep costs down, but by the same token, rules limitations are also keeping other cars from coming to the track. Get the running of the racing program ironed out, get the teching straight and we should see cars coming back. One thing I think will go a long way is to run time trials before the racing program starts...example...practice from 4:30-5:30, time trials from 5:30-6:30, racing at 7:00. Thiose cars that don't time will have to start in the rear of both the heat and feature. One other thing...GET RID OF THE DICE!! Don't know if it's still done, but it's run it's course and now it's just a nusance...my thougths, my opinions!
