Have to agree on this one. Water barrels are a start to keeping the racing and more importantly the racers, safe. The other things goes bacl to what Donnie posted about changes to the track. We (I still consider myself a racer) need a techman that will check the cars before they even hit the track. Not only the should the carsbe teched, but make the drivers wer either a head/neck device or at least a horse collar anytime they are ont he track. Put drivers safety first above all else. Doesn't matter a hill of beans about the car if the driver doesn't have the minimum of safety devices...FULL firesuit that isn't ripped to shreds, a full face helmet that is certified for racing, a horse collar or head/neck device, gloves and racing shoes...underwear would be optional, but it's highly recommended. You can't take a chance when it comes to driver safety. The track will take care of the track, but we all have to watch out for driver safety! Another thing is the window nets...every car, regardless of class should have them and use them or they can't be onthe track... just my opinion and thoughts!
