AMAZING.... thats all I can say! Well, no it's not! It's amazing that the boy (and I say that with respect cause I'm way older than him) wins a prestigious race in the premier racing series and gets ragged for it? I didnt see all this when Bayne won his first race! Or McMurray or Montoya or Hamlin or even Happy Harvick when he took Sr's car to victory lane!
Last year David was running great the first part of the seaon - MANY chances to get his first win... right out of the gate this year, "rookie" mistake costs him a probable win... the boy has talent, if not, Rousch wouldn't have him in that car. The boy has charm, good looks, "sellable" attributes for sponsorship AND a racing family. Now, he's one his first race - may be the only one, may be one of many, who knows! Michael Waltrip is a household name and I can count the number of wins on one hand - just saying!
And last but not least... what in the heck does whether the Ragans are rich, poor or "commoners" like me... have to do with him being in that car next year or not? If Rousch hired drivers, I mean got paid for drivers, based on their family fortunes... Wouldn't Donald Trumps son look nice in a new Rousch Ford? just saying...
Way to go David!!!!! Some friends of mine finally got to met you in Charlotte, then on vacation in Mexico. They called me and said "Wow Stir, David is one of the nicest, down to earth guys you'll ever meet... you can tell he comes from a good family" - and THAT my friends says it all... now that he's a winner of a NASCAR CUP SERIES RACE IN DAYTONA!!! that's called icing on a pretty darn good homemade cake...
