Charlie, I don't think you are a crybaby or a whiner. I agree with your points and your perceptions. Personally I think early 60's (pre '64) are some of the best songs that were part of the 60's decade, but for some reason they choose not to focus in that time frame. Is it just someone putting a stake in the ground saying 64 is the starting point for their 60's playlist or was there some other kind of research done that showed there was waning interest in the pre '64 and 50's music? Who knows. The station is being billed as a 60's 70's and now 80's classic hits. The word "oldies" is gone. That tells me something. I heard from the interviews it wasn't gong to be exactly the same as before. I think we all want the station to succeed. These ideas have value and I hope someone is listening and some tweaks to the playlist are made.
