I hope the above prediction doesn't come true...this is part of why I was worried 2 years ago. It seems that music and most arts and pop culture gets dumbed down more and more as time goes by, it helps to have an outlet where people can see when it was good!

And I still say write to WCBS if you are really upset about the lack of '50s music. The power of the people is not to be underestimated; that's why we are talking about CBS-FM again in current terms. I do agree that it is good to have the basic feel of the true CBS-FM back, and can even accept the format tweaking of including the '80s. But other things need to be rebuilt indeed (here's a new one for you, I think...is it me or do DJ's get cut off early sometimes and sometimes don't say so much? If so, the pacing is another thing that needs to be restored). But maybe with some polite nudging from us that will happen too.

Like I said, write to CBS-FM, thank them for switching back, and then voice your support for the classic elements you'd like to see back.
