Subject: 35 Years Ago Today

As you probably already know, it was 35 years ago today that WCBS-FM became a 24 hour oldies station. It would ultimately influence many others to adopt this format around the country.

Many legendary personalities worked at the station and all of us enjoyed many great moments by listening to them.

The audience that listened to 101.1 even though they didn't know each other on a personal level were a community that bonded together throughout the Tri State area through this great station.

Whether CBS-FM returns or if it does and sounds different than what we remember, let's take a moment today and acknowledge this important day in 1972.
