I miss my oldies stations (both WCBS and now 96kool is gone). Everyone says that Satellite and internet radio is the way to go but I have one question -- Why now must I pay extra for something that was always free (even if it meant putting up with the commercials). I now pay for cable tv which means most of the time paying for channels I don't want and sometimes there is still nothing worthwhile watching even with the extra channels. As for internet radio (1) I can't use the computer in the car there are enough distractions while driving. As using listening on the internet connection while at work, it is a no go too, since my company puts a block on such things (company policy is company computers are for company work with limited access) Also they have set up that when you can tune in a internet radio station if comes out like (here is where I am showing my age) a 33 sp recording played at 78 speeds.
