Corporate America has clearly forgotten the lessons of the past. Business schools used to teach that a company existed to please the customer. Once this was done, the money would come.

Our own baby boomer generation has re-written all of the rules. Corporations now exist only to generate cash for stockholders. Anything and everything goes when it comes to raising short term stock prices. I haven't checked the charts, but I bet that there was a large spike in Infinity's stock prices during the time that they changed formats and fired their staff.
