I-Pods, satellite radio, internet radio all these are siphoning off listeners from traditional AM & FM. Station owners and advertisers want younger listeners with less disposable income because they feel they respond better to their message. It doesn't matter that boomers over age 45 likely have the money to buy what they want to sell. We're too set in our buying habits and are unlikely to change, they think. Keep that up and all these station owners are going to be stuck with assets depreciating faster than a fleet of used cars.
