Cool duel. Many onBoard here will agree with both of you. That's called 'communications'.

When I and some of the gang had WABC on at work this past Saturday (NE Pennsy), the announced time of '8:30' for Ingram's entrance was like New Year's Eve to me. I hadn't heard him in years, of course, not living in NYC anymore. He sounded quite up in years, but when he twisted the overdone Simone intro into something like 'before you pass the collection plate', it was classic -- and you KNEW he'd've been a different interview in the studio than on the phone. They have to get this man in there live one night.

On over-50: This 58-year old just got done hauling his considerable bulk and Corporal Vanderbilt vision out from under one repaired sink drain, face-drippings and traditional oaths and all. The second drain of the double sink is slated for later. Point? Built-in obsolescence is as vivid an industry as ever. Today's terrestrial radio has built-in obsolescence coming out of its earphones. So as I spit out 3-year old congealed noodles and prepare for another unexpected meal from Drain II, I disagree semantically with Terry on the 'was' part of the Ingram legancy.

Yes. He was.
