Darnell- (standing there speechless & surprised at what he just heard)
Mika- (with tears rolling down her face)
Darnell- (clears throat) ummm (goes sit next to mika to comfort her)

He himself felt like crying because of the thought of becoming a father at the age of 20. This was too early for him. He always dreamed of maybe having kids when he was in his late 30’s or something, when he was too old to get with mad girls.

Mika- I hope you’re not mad… (While tears drop down her face)
Darnell- I…I…I just don’t know what to say I mean…wow a baby...

Mika wasn’t too happy about this either. Having a child at 17, what would people think of her? What will happen to her reputation? What will her parents think of this? Most importantly what will Darnell have to say about all this?

Darnell- I’m a be a dad…I guess
Mika- so does that mean… your okay with this?
Darnell- I mean I’m the one who got you pregnant… right? I might as well take care of it (smiles faintly)
Mika- I’m so happy you’re not mad at me

Darnell & mika hug and kiss. They finish washing Darnell clothes without saying another word to each other. After that, they bring the clothes upstairs to his apartment and Darnell goes drop mika home. When he comes back home he calls his boy Romeo.
Romeo- (picks up the phone) hello
Darnell- its D, man u wouldn’t believe what just happened
Romeo- watt up man
Darnell- I just f*****g found out that Lamika pregnant
Romeo- oh shit, dog u aight
Darnell- nah man! How the f**k u expect me to be aight when I just told u she pregnant!
Romeo- man chill
Darnell- its coo…man I don’t even know what to do about all this
Romeo- can’t she get an abortion or some shit?
Darnell- I ain’t think about that…
Romeo- but man look u in some deep shit right naw, cause u know her parents gon press charges. U knew f*****g with a 17 year old was wrong, but now she pregnant, damn!
Darnell- I know man! I don’t even know what I’m a do
Romeo- well u better think fast cause, shit! U on your own on this one
Darnell- (sighed loudly, and rubs his hair)
Romeo- but look I hope everything go aight. I gotta go, I’m a talk to you in class or something
Darnell- aight

They both hang up the phone
