Subject: sorry but I am sticking to my gut instinct. Kat is Ash's heroine. In 'sins fo the night', she drools privately for him knowing she can never have him. It would be too icky to make them related. Sherrilyn is an expert at detail, I think that paragraph in Sins of the Night is foreshadowing Kat and Ash.
