Subject: A few things

Right now, Sherri is holding a couple of contests. One is an "Interview Ash" contest. You can send interview questions to Ash at acheron_p@hotmail.com. Among the four I sent: 1) Did you and Artemis know each other (not know of each other) before she created you as the first Dark-Hunter? 2) Who betrayed you? 3) Did you take your act of vengeance. I also asked if the Eagles will win the Super Bowl. LOL

I'm looking forward to Nick's book. I have never felt so sad for two fictional characters as I did after reading Nick's new profile on Sherri's website! I'd also like to see one of the Peltier quads -- probably Dev -- in a book!

I never thought of Katra as Ash's daughter. That's very interesting, but I'm not sure how it would explain her serving both Artie and Apollymi. I still lean toward Katra being Ash's heroine.

Now let's talk about Ash himself. Is he Apollymi's son, as clues appear to suggest? If so, what's with the horns and blue skin which seem to hint at Charonte blood. (Remember that Simi in one book talks about akri's horns.) Hmm -- didn't an earlier book hint that Ash wasn't quite human and that was part of Styx's revulsion and anger?

Could Ash be the offspring of Apollymi (Atlantean) and a Charonte? Weren't the Charontes able to kill gods in the Greek Pantheon? In Talon's book, didn't someone call Ash a god killer?

So many questions. *g*

[> Holy sh*t ,I never even considerdd that-that he might be part Charonte.Definitely something to think about. We're all going to be headed for the looney bin quicker with this new board, but it will be a hell of a ride! *G* -- Boadicea, 22:07:04 11/09/05 Wed [1]

[> Yeah, I remember somone calling Ash a "god-killer", the same book where his eyes turned funky and he blasted the bad guys. You brought up some cool points. I was curious about Ash's hornies....He changes his hair color all the time (I think that's cute), maybe he gives himself hornies just for Simi's benefit? Your other questions...dang...those are some heavy thoughts. I'm impressed...clueless, but impressed. -- Michele N., 09:42:48 11/10/05 Thu [1]

[> [> I think the horns are real. The idea that he's part Charonte is verrrrry interesting. But if he was, don't you think Simi's sister would have noticed or said something? I think it would come as quite a shock if Appolymi wasn't his mom at this point but with Sherri you never know. I need to get over to Sherri's board and read Nick's profile. It's been awhile since I've been there so I don't think I've read it. When Nick died that was devastating to Ash. I would like to see their relationship explored now that he's a DH. -- Leiha, 11:16:54 11/10/05 Thu [1]

[> [> [> OK, i went and checked out more of Sherri's board, I swear, I get lost over there and I saw the there will be a lot of Nick in the book after Wren's. I'm very excited about that. -- Leiha, 15:33:32 11/10/05 Thu [1]

[> [> [> [> I'm excited about Nick too. I have to say though that he is going to have to get better in bed. Simi wasn't impressed at all. I still go back and read the scene where Ash found out. I crack up and at the same time really feel for Ash because if's such a blow to him. Maybe the Simi is just too hard to please. -- ~Sarah R.~, 20:33:54 11/10/05 Thu [1]

[> Simi's the one that talks about Ash's hornays so I don't think he wears them just for her. *g* That's a good point about Xirena and Simi knowing -- but perhaps only certain beings knew. It would also make sense since he considers Simi like a daughter. It was just a thought. *g* -- Mary Stella, 19:09:11 11/10/05 Thu [1]

[> Regarding Katra.... I think that she could be Ash's heroine. She is the one who saves him in Seize (pages 193-197) and it says that her powers are second only to his. Also, the book says that Artemis would always stand between them. Have to add another reply, ran out of room........ -- ~Sarah R.~, 19:39:43 11/10/05 Thu [1]

[> [> Contd...Re: Ash's parentage...Okay, I figure Ash is Appolymi's son. When you go to the Katoteros link on SK's site it lists many of the Atlantean and Greek gods and goddesses. On that site I looked up Appolymi's husband Archon. The reason I think that Ash is only cursed with some Charonte characteristics and not the progeny of one is this bit from Archon's section. "Though he perished with the rest of the Atlantean gods, there are those who say that Apostolos, if ever found, holds the ability to raise his father from the dead and to return Archon to his throne." This would assume that Ash is the lost Apostolos. I wonder if when Ash died the first time some characteristics of the Charonte's were some how melded into him. Bogus or not?

I also wonder about the handprint that comes and goes on Ash's throat and the huge scar down his chest and belly that only appears in Katoteros. Could those have come from his first death? Maybe scars from his torture or something?
