I can't see Kat as Artemis' daughter. *shakes head* I just can't see her ruining her figure. Not the maternal type you know. I can wrap my mind around her being his sister! I know everyone *thinks* she was killed but why else would Artemis HIDE her so well from Ash. Ash can't even sense her. Why would Apollymi also have an interest in her well being? If not for some close relationship to Ash.
To that end, doesn't it make *sense* that if Artemis regretted her involvement with Ash's death enough to risk the wrath of The Fates, wouldn't it also make sense that she save his sister too? Stay with me. We know that Ash *heard* his sisters crys but could do nothing about it. We know that Stixx supposedly *saw* their sister killed. What if it was as someone suggested, an act or just an illusion to make Stixx think that his sister was dead? What happened to the body? This could have been a part of the plan to get rid of Ash. Think Apollo! Ah ha! We already know that Ash died by Apollo's hands.
Now, why would Artemis hide Kat? Fear and leverage. Crazy but not stupid! Artemis needed a trump card to be played when desperate. If Ash had his sister he would have no need for Artemis but Ash would surely kill her if he knew his sister were alive and in Artemis' hands. Remember Ash "suffers" because of his perceived neglect of his sister.
Why let Kat go and why return her to Apollymi? Artemis needed a "goodwill" buffer. If Ash had died, imagine the wrath Apollymi would have rained down upon Artemis for her part in Ash's death. Couple with holding her daughter prisoner! Woo! I repeat crazy but not stupid! Let's also not forget that the world would have surely ended! And so would this series!
Now Artemis has Ash back alive, Kat is gone, no fear of Ash running into her while he is visiting Artemis, asking embarrassing questions AND Apollymi is happy. What a crafty Heifer Goddess!
