Subject: I feel a bit weird admitting that I found the first half of the book had more emotional depth. It didn't make me cry (which is also weird), but maybe that's because there was just so much to cry about. I would agree that the background was necessary to make us understand Ash and what drives him. Too much torture? I can actually see instances where SK pulled back from the detail. I was VERY ready for his HEA.
In reply to: Boadicea 's message, "The torture/abuse Ash went through was the biggest part of his past, basically his whole life before his death, except for the short time he spent in secret with Ryssa.Did you want less torture? More 'safe' time with Ryssa?Or do you think it was just the right amount?" on 21:26:04 09/01/08 Mon
