Hi Brother,

It is wonderful to see you here! Thanks for sending that link on exposing the threat of global warming. I recently received an email that stated that a scientist who first spread information about global warming is now refuting it. Fear is the tactic of the enemy and there is no doubt that he is doing his job in trying to spread it! More and more we as believers need to set our eyes upon Jesus, knowing and believing that which He has said and done for us and what we are to do as His followers.

Scripture tells us that a one world government will be set up in the end times. You know, I am not certain whether we are to fight it or strive to prevent it. I really don't know. If any one has some insight on this, please share away on it. It would be greatly appreciated.

I do know that Jesus told us to share the Good News of God's kingdom. Our Lord even prayed, "Thy kingdom come, they will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." He said that we are to be one with the Father as He is one with Him and that we are to love one another for this is how the world will know that we are His disciples. Sometimes I think we have become so caught up in the happenings taking place in the world that we forget about our own character and how it is to be lined up with His. While we might see all the wrong that is in the world, how much "wrong" do we see in our own lives? How well do we match up to the Master's walk upon the earth?

Those words are not directed specifically to any one person but to the body of Christ at large. These are thoughts that have been coming to me as I look around and see how far we have fallen from being His living epistles read by all men. More times than not we see Christ's representatives being quick to point out the fault in others, loveless and judgmental. Rather than building one another up, we are quick to tear them down somehow seeing their weaknesses are being worse their our own, thus justifying our own weakness. Lord, have mercy. We have all fallen short of the glory of God. And if it were not for the Lord's mercy we would all be heading to a very hot place and not for a vacation but for eternity! Again, we all fall short of the glory of God. How grateful we should be for His unmerited mercy and grace. And we need to start spreading that mercy and grace around to others.

Do we need correction in areas? Absolutely! Unless the Lord gives us specific directions to bring that correction out to someone we best not do it or else we will be held accountable for that same sin! God is well able to get His point across and I believe we are seeing that taking place throughout the world now. Any ways, kind of got off on a rabbit trail.

Whether it be global warming, the ice age or God's judgment coming, isn't the most important thing to do is to know Jesus, to share Jesus with others? As you've pointed out, Surfer, there seems to be some kind of fear tactic with each generation. Time proves what is truth and what is not. Jesus Christ still stands the test of time and it is imperitive that we share more about Him and the message He gave us to share, amen? Amen.

Love your sister in Christ,
Joan
