Subject: Just realised we forgot to tell you our news....

We're moving to Brighton at the end of the month!

We've been talking about moving there for a while now and with me being out of work it seemed like the right time. The place we're moving to is only a 6-month let, which means we'll be hunting for a new place in March/April, but we're happy with that. Just going to treat this first place as a base to get to know the area better and find somewhere long term.

The best bit is that we're moving from a 1 bedroom flat to a 3 bedroom, five-storey house right by the seafront and paying less. Shows how much more you get outside of London!

Once we get settled in we'll post pics etc., and the best part is we'll have spare bedrooms if anyone ever wants to visit. :-)

that's brilliant news, bet you can't wait! Why Brighton particularly? Can't believe the size of property compared to what you have now, London is a bloody expensive place to live in to be sure, all that extra space, if I'm ever down that way I'll be sure to knock on your door!!

Firstly it's close enough that Richard can still commute to London for work, but busy enough (and with quite a strong media/IT scene) for me to find work.

It's by the sea, has loads of restaurants and bars, great music venues and theatres, and a really laidback atmosphere. I hate travelling across London, it takes forever to get anywhere in the city, and the idea of just strolling out my front door and being 10 mins away from anywhere I'd need to be is great. Brighton has a real small-town feel but with city amenities.

And now I sound totally like an estate agent. Heh.

Can't wait!

I thought you meant a permanent move... and in that case I would've said the earlier the better.

I only know Brighton from the series Sugar Rush, which was pretty bad. I hope it's fabulous!!
