Got a date tonight, whoo hoo!!

Annnnnnnnnnd, I'm jobless again, we've parted company quite amicably, working for family is good in a lot of ways but unfortunatly the job itself was just too boring, the upside is I've sorted out the mess the admin and finances were in so hopefully they will be able to find someone to take my place quite easily. So, footloose and fancy free, not sure what I want to do to be honest, I'm fortunate that finances aren't a problem at the moment so I think I'll just take my time to sort myself out before I start looking around again.

Just realised its Friday the 13th today, watch yourself folks!!

[> Big weekend for us... -- Kashmanik, 15:42:34 11/13/09 Fri [1] (93.97.170.133)

My parents and RJA's parents are meeting for the first time. Should be fun! They're all coming to visit at the new house, and we're going out for a meal, so it's a family-filled weekend for us.

Andy? On a date? On Friday 13th? Should we start placing bets on what disaster is going to happen? I'm gonna put £20 on "They turn out to be cousins." :-p

a date.

unemployed.

parents meeting parents. (that gives me high anxiety thinking about...good luck, guys.)

$20 andy's date either picks his teeth or picks his nose at the dinner table.

i got nuthin' compared to ya'll. i have laundry. and that's it.

Since the date is over now.. tell all! Was it your nose-picking cousin?

I planned to go to a Mafia-themed party but in order to save money my flatmate and I decided to drink in at home beforehand.. resulting in us being too drunk and tired to bother about going at all. We had our own little party, including improptu visists by annoyed neighbors. :/

Sorry about the joblessness and laundry. Keeping my fingers crossed for the family weekend!

Way cheaper than going out.

I always find it keeps the peace if you invite the neighbours in for a drink, then they can't complain!!

I think I can safely say that my date and I are not related seeing as he's a lovely coffee colour like my kids and I'm definitely white!! he's pretty damn gorgeous too, big beautiful brown eyes, a lovely warm smile and a wicked sense of humour :-)

Don't make me hungry... I baked the most delicious pumpkin walnut bread over the weekend and it's calling my name from the kitchen. Also made pumpkin pie and turkish yogurt cake and lemon curd, mmmmmmmm!

Waiting for tomorrow's update :)

Is the pumpkin walnut bread your own recipe? It sounds delicious.

I went to a vernissage after choir practice tonight and ended up hanging out with my flatmate and her ex, the one I mentioned previously? I want to marry him, seriously. :(

Nope not mine, got it here - http://www.joythebaker.com/blog/2009/11/vegan-pumpkin-walnut-bread/ It's incredibly delicious, I halved the recipe because I didn't feel I needed two loaves and now I regret it. It's more cake-like than bread though... kinda like banana bread.

Not as well as I'd hoped, he seems to be obsessed with work and talked about it the whole time, maybe he was nervous I don't know but I was relieved when we left and went to a local pub for a drink, he was a little better there and eased off a little. Not sure whether I'll be seeing him again or not, he's contacting me nearer the weekend so I have plenty to think about before then.

Thanks for the recipe, might give it a try for when my Dad comes for lunch on Thursday. xx
