Subject: A favour to ask of you international peeps...

On my site I've now got Google Ads, about which I've been wondering something.

When I view them I see a range of ads, and when prices are mentioned, they're in pounds (£). Obviously they link to British sites.

When you're viewing the site from your IPs in the US, France, Switzerland do you see ads relevant to your location or do you just see British ads? I would hope they'd be geographically relevant, but I just wanted to check.

Muchly grassy arse.

Do you have ssh access to your hosting account? If so do this:

1. Open Terminal
2. Type "ssh yourusername@thetvlowdown.com"
3. Type your password
4. Type "cd pathtoyourwordpressinstallation"
5. Type "touch .htaccess"
6. Type "chmod 666 .htaccess"
7. Type "exit"

Now you can switch on pretty permalinks from within the WordPress admin, and it will write mod_rewrite rules into your .htaccess file for you.

Dollars and CHF and the ads themselves are in English, German and French, linking to .ch or .com or .de sites.
