Subject: Yo peeps.......

wotcha all doin' this weekend?

Father's Day Sunday so I'll be cooking all his favourite foodies and no doubt there'll be alchohol involved too.

Tomorrow will be a day of rest 'cos I'm totally knackered, might go out for a pub lunch or something and spend the rest of the time lounging around watching tv, surfing and reading.

my ex and I hired someone to clean twice a week and help with the laundry when the kids were young and I started working again, she was worth her weight in gold, took all the pressure off, it was great to see all the ironing done and a nice clean house when I got home.

Or a Swedish au pair. I'm easy. So, if you guys could just sort that out for me that would be super. I'm confident you know the requirements.

i still have to clean for the maids...cuz there's no way i'm letting them in here with the place like this...

but i'm PSYCHED!

i'll straighten and organize and do laundry and tan and drink and eat ice cream now that i don't have to be up to my elbows with soap and a scrub brush.

ps. darren yer a dirty dirty man.

it'll certainly take the pressure off, I found it did the kids good too because they had to keep all their stuff tidy for when the cleaner came, they didn't want her touching any of it so they made sure it was all put away out of sight.

As directed by Pioneer Woman! Yesterday I made the Perfect Chocolate Pie filling as pudding.

I visit that site more often than is good for me. :/

The cupcakes, braised chicken, yogurt-marmalade cake, creamy herbed potatos, whiskey carrots, blueberry muffins, chocolate pie, fresh corn casserole, country green beans, pots de creme, marlboro man's second favorite sandwich, zucchini cake and baked fudge have my seal of approval.

My Dad loves to guess the ingredients in everything we cook and the molasses cookies were quite a challenge! They've still got his seal of approval though. =)

Would you mind sending me the carrot cake recipe?
