Subject: So I finally called the lawyer...

to settle my mom's estate. I feel better. But I still had to go in an empty office and cry for a half hour before I called. Colorado law says my bro's "issue" (nephew) gets half. Fine, I planned to give it to him anyway. (And I doubt if it will be much after it's all settled.) But blah, blah, I have to go back to Denver and go through everything and sell a house and a car and I of course know nothing about either. Google! Sigh.

I can't imagine how hard that must be, not just the hassle but being confronted with all the memories. I hope it won't take that long. Do you already know when you'll be going to Denver and how long?

those types of details scare me as well. it's all so overwhelming...i wish i could help, tee. sorry you have to put energies in all of this. hopefully it will all go smoother than anticipated.

Hell, I have no idea what's coming down. One baby step at a time. I'll keep you posted. It's a modest estate. After all is said and done..it won't be much, but I'll be happy and my mom will.
