still managing to lose weight or have you started to slow down?

I'll certainly be looking around some of the uni's just out of curiosity, expenses will be paid for us so it would be cutting my nose to spite my face if I didn't, should be interesting even if nothing comes of it

i've been exhausted and unmotivated.

i apparently also have a nodule or something on my thyroid. found out yesterday. *shrugs* so...i prolly have hypothyroidsomethingsomething...or ya know...cancer. fingers crossed it's the first one.

it would explain my exhaustion and trouble losin' weight the last few months. if it's just a matter of hormones being jacked up...i can take a pill and it'll fix itself in a coupla months. again...fingers crossed.

it certainly sounds as though your thyroid problem is slowing down your weight loss though, hopefully the treatment they come up with will sort it out and you'll start losing regularly again, how much have you lost so far?

not bad. lots to go though.

i have all the symptoms...i'm sure my thyroid just isn't producing enough hormones.

you must feel much better for losing all that weight, how much would you like to lose altogether or haven't you set yourself a goal yet?

i *think* i set a realistic goal.

i'd like to lose 93 more. it's amazing i'm that overweight and boggles the mind. even the docs are surprised when i'm on the scale. i guess it's great i can carry it well...but i'd rather not carry it at all!

then it won't seem so bad, I only say that because one of our Politics lecturers was very overweight and that was the only way he could handle it, he preferred not to think about how much he needed to lose altogether and just be happy and pleased with himself each time he lost the 10, it seemed to work for him doing it that way and he allowed himself a little treat each time which he looked forward to, that gave him the incentive to carry on.

That's nearly 6.5 stone. You must feel a hell of a lot better, thyroid problem or not. I wonder how long you've had the thyroid problem for, and whether that contributed to you putting the weight on in the first place?
