Subject: mornin' all

Today is bigwig visit day so I'm supposed to be on my best behaviour (no staring at techy guys bums or giggling at smutty e-mails) but it's not going to be easy folks ;-)

And can someone tell me why the heck I wore a skirt today? The sky may be blue and the sun may be shining but its still freezing cold, duh!!

Did I set the timer on the oven this morning? did I?

Have a nice day folks

I made a snowman yesterday, and the snow was so wet that I was even able to give him arms (with his hands on his hips, he looked like an angry little old man) but then it rained and washed his arms off. What I mean to say is ITS COLD.

My best friend wants us to go to Sharm el Sheikh over Easter because she's sick of the cold. But it's so expensive!

Why did you have to set the oven timer? What are you cooking tonight? I'm going to make Pioneer Woman's whiskey glazed carrots but I need ideas for the rest of the meal.

Have a great day, and behave yourself. ;p

just enough for two ;-)

Explain Pioneer Woman's whiskey glazed carrots please, they sound delicious!!

http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2008/10/whiskey-glazed-carrots-major-league-yum/

I usually double the carrots and leave away most of the butter because a) it's so delicious that I want to make sure I'll have leftovers and b) the leftovers had a layer of fat over them when I made it according to recipe the first time. IMO the butter isn't really necessary, if you end up with a sauce rather than glaze it's still yummy.

I'm thinkng of trying her thyme bread or cheesy olive bread tonight... cept I'm not the biggest thyme or olive fan but it sounds easy and fun. Maybe I could use jalepenos or bell pepper or garlic.

how can you say that? I luuuuuuuuuuurve butter!!

my dinner guest is a friend of a friend I met s couple of weeks ago, a little older this time (45) but cute with a very dry sense of humour, this is our third date and my first attempt at seducing him with my amazing culinary skills (kidding!!) so if I didn't set the timer on the oven I'll be most upset.

I like the sound of the carrots recipe, I'll certainly be trying that out, cheesy olive bread is a favourite of mine.

What happened to the friend you got closer to? Your dinner date sounds a bit like Darren. ;)

I hope you did set the timer, in that case! *crosses fingers*

I think I'm going to make the Pots de Creme for dessert and my siste loves cupcakes so I might try those this week sometime.

the friend I got closer too a while back has gone back to being a friend which is fine, it just petered out on its own really

I like the sound of your dessert, yum! we'll be having Key Lime pie with creme fraiche.

The only thing better than Key Lime pie is Lemon Meringue. I'm a sucker for citrusy desserts!

let's make it a threesome *smirk*

I also love Lemon Meringue pie, the more tarty and lemony the better with a big mountain of meringue on top!

And yoghurt orange marmalade cake and panna cotta with raspberries and chocolate-covered pineapple and peach cobbler and blueberry pie!

Fruit desserts are fabulous.

I meant because of older, cute and witty.

And what's wrong with 45? Rahm Emanuel is 49!
