One of my friends married the actress Eileen Walsh and she is very good friends with Anne Marie-Duff (they were in The Magdelene Sisters together) -- she and James were both at the wedding and I got to know them quite well. They're both annoyingly lovely.

And James McAvoy isn't *that* much older than you so for all you know you might bite the dust first!

How can you claim to know whether or not James McAvoy is or is not much older than I am? ;)

As for how many degrees of separation, you could claim only two: you know me and I know him. If you want to be all technical and claim that it has to be more of an acquaintance than just chatting at a wedding then it's still only three: you know me, I know Eileen, and Eileen knows him.

I'm sorry to say that you're out of luck as far as Elijah Wood and Johnny Depp go. (You fancy Elijah Wood? What a weirdo.)
