cooked cabbage possibly the worst smell in the whole wide world!

the french can suck it too. even though i love their bread and wine and cheese and ham.

... blanched, then sautéed with shallots in butter is delicious -- goes great with roast pork belly. Red cabbage braised with onions, garlic, apples, cloves, cinnamon and some brown sugar and vinegar is one of my favourite winter vegetable dishes.

Then there's coleslaw, sauerkraut, choucroute. Man! You don't know what you're missing!

(Obviously old dark green cabbage leaves boiled are stinky and disgusting. But cabbage doesn't have to be like that. You've just had it done badly.)
