I mean there was a good reason Angel had to leave. What was the point of a romance that actually couldn't be consummated?

That's what I meant about the show not really having anywhere to go. Although I admit I never really watched it properly.

cuz then there's always tension.

typically in shows...once the people hook up...well...you lose part of the hook.
