Girls: Where's good to eat round here? Not too expensive.

Me: Oh, all the bistros just round here are nice, what do you want to eat?

Girls: We're vegetarian.

Me: *suppressing laughter* You're pretty much fucked. Pizza?

Girls: We eat fish.

Me: Oh, in that case you're fine. All of the bistros here will have a salmon dish on the menu.

Girls: We don't like salmon.

Me: *beginning to get irritated* What about seafood? Mussels, oysters, scallops, crab? There's loads of seafood places in the area.

Girls: *wrinkling their noses* Ew. No.

Me: *really starting to get annoyed* But you like fish? What about sushi? There are tons of Japanese places here.

Girls: *wrinkling their noses again* Isn't that RAW fish?

Me: *had enough* Not necessarily, you can ask them to cook it for you.

Girls: *wide eyed* Really?

Me: Absolutely. Just ask. The default is raw, but if you ask to have it cooked it's no problem.

Girls: Oh wow. That's great. *they head off to Matsuri*

If only I could have been a fly on the wall when they order their sushi and sashimi and ask for it to be cooked.

Fussy eaters really annoy me.
