I really don't like Azureus. It's written in Java, it feels clunky and there are five billion configuration options. I like software that's small and light on its feet, does one thing or a few things very well, and "just works" with a minimum of configuration. To me, and this is me with my user interface designer hat on, every option, preference, and configuration twiddle more than the absolute bare minimum is a sign of a bad design decision.

With that in mind, this is my favourite BitTorrent client:

I sit for ten minutes fiddling with various options, then just when I think I've got everything configured, I see another option that just ends up confusing me again!

I've got everything running in Transmission now, all seems to be going smoothly. Thanks for the advice!
