35lbs

had a few medical hiccups this week. they couldn't find the "port" they use to fill up the band. so...yeah. kinda crappy. the term "pin cushion" was used a coupla times. after lots of needles, x-rays, 2 days, and an ultrasound....i got it filled up.

on liquids now for a coupla days. then regular food. then i'll be in every 7 days or so to get it filled up again and again. the weight will come off quick-like they said from here on out...til i start hitting plateaus etc. i guess these first 34 in the last 3-4 weeks has been of my own will power. *chuckle* of which i have little.

I really didn't realise just what you've had to go through Gretch, I'm very impressed I must say that you've lost 34lbs yourself, I thought it was the lapband, I thought once they inserted it you were good to go, obviously not, I think I've mixed it up with stomach stapling operation which sounds far too drastic to me, all in all I think you've chosen the best method and good luck to you, can't wait to hear about all the great clothes you'll be able to buy!!

I'm comfort eating at the moment and have put on 7lbs which has landed straight on my bum and boobs, I'm very annoyed with myself because I know I'm going to have to buckle down, live on Slimfast and go to the Uni gym every day, I'm an idiot.

i gotta say...

high protein. low carbs. 64 ounces of fluid. 60 ounces of protein a day. and small small frequent meals. all seem to work. the small frequent meals and low carbs in particular. cnn just had a study report actually...that low carbs beats out low fat in the end.

i didn't know the procedure would go like this as well. i thought they'd fill it up at the operation. but they don't til a month out. just as well...cuz that's my diet limit. *chuckle* a month...and i'm done. so they filled it just in time.

all's well that ends well apparently! and thanks for the good luck and well wishes. everyone in my life has been a great help.
